At mTracker ("we", "us", "our"), we value your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our app ("App" or "Service"), you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the App.

1) What We Collect

To provide a personalized and reliable experience, we may collect:

  • Transaction data you add: Amount, type (income/expense), category, source, tags, notes, date, and related metadata you choose to store.
  • App preferences and usage: Settings (e.g., themes, notification preferences) and in-app actions to support core features.
  • Diagnostics and crash data: Device model, OS version, app version, limited logs and context at the time of an error (via Firebase Crashlytics).

We do not collect or store your credit/debit card, bank, or UPI credentials.

2) How We Use Your Data

  • Core functionality: Add and manage transactions; generate monthly and custom reports; maintain categories and related features.
  • Personalization: Remember your settings and preferences.
  • Notifications: Send optional reminders or report summaries (in-app or email if provided).
  • Diagnostics: Monitor stability, troubleshoot crashes, and improve reliability.
  • Compliance and safety: Prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

3) Authentication and Communication

  • Google Sign-In is used for secure authentication. Your basic profile (name, email, profile photo) may be used to create and manage your account.
  • Communications may occur via in-app notices or email, limited to service updates, reminders, and support responses. No unsolicited marketing.

4) Payments (If Applicable)

  • Premium features may be offered via Google Play Billing.
  • All payments are processed by Google; we do not handle or store your payment instrument details.

5) Error Reporting and Diagnostics

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect diagnostic data when errors occur, which may include:

  • Device information (model, OS version), app version, and limited logs around the crash.
  • Time and context of the error to help identify and fix issues.

6) Storage, Sync, and Caching

  • On-device storage: Data you add is stored on your device and may be cached to improve performance.
  • Cloud processing: If you are signed in, certain data may be transmitted to secure cloud services to enable account features (e.g., cross-device continuity, service configuration).

  • We use industry-standard security measures appropriate to the data we process.
  • If you enable device-level protections (e.g., biometric or screen lock), those are processed on your device by your OS; we do not receive your biometric data.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your information.
